My BBK X-Pipe was too close to my AOD. The shift linkage wanted to turn right into it.

You could ding the  out of the pipe and make it work, but I think I converted the shift linkage to the Mustang setup (It either rotated upward instead of downward, or it was just mounted much closer to the transmission body. I don't remember exactly, now). This was functional but really didn't work too well, and I changed to a T5 shortly thereafter. Sorry, my memory is fuzzy about it, but I can tell you that you will definitely have some clearance issues to work out.

Ed's right, I tried a BBK X on my Bird and it was all over the stock shift linkage... Rather than hack it up I put my Hooker H pipe back on.

Here's three pipes for comparo... 1st is a LSC Lincoln, 2nd is my Hooker H and last is the BBK X... Note how the left pipe curves more inward than the others...
