Fill 'er up... quickly!

I'm watching CNN's hurricane hype, and they just said that in electronic trading oil went up to just a hair shy of $70 a barrel. This is almost a $4 hike in just a few hours, and this is before the markets even open! I bet it hits $75 tomorrow. I will be filling my car, truck, two five gallon gas cans, one two gallon gas can and one one gallon gas can, because I would bet that gas will skyrocket this week!

And today it just dropped another 3 cents around here.  It's down from the high of 2.57/gal to 2.37/gal today.

Anyone else think that math adds up to 20 cents, and not three. :hick:

Being that I said ANOTHER 3 cents, one would assume that it's been dropping previous to the 3 cents that it dropped yesterday...

i just filled up this morning, 2.65/gal i should get a week out of it if I am really careful. I am living with my dad of all things during the week, my wife isn't too happy about it, but it is just too expensive.

I can squeeze about 2 weeks out of a fillup if I plan my errands correctly and nothing out of the ordinary pops up......Time to give $60.00 away at the gas pump

That's what sucks for me. School has started and I'm working as well so now I'm running about 430 miles per week

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Filled up last night on my way to work.  On the way home this morning about 1/3 of the stations I passed had remained unchanged.  Another third had snuck up to about $2.99 regular/$3.20 premuim.  Then there was the silliness.  How about $3.29 regular/$3.59 premium?  On the readio I even heard a station about 15 miles from my house is charging $3.71......

Went out at lunch time yesterday and gas was at $2.49g. Decided later that night that I ought to fill up now before the holiday weekend, virtually everyone bumped the price up to $2.59g. Got lucky on my way back home and found a station at 2.53g. Not much of a savings but i'd rather pay $50 for a full tank than $55.
