He does admit fault. Ill give him that. You know you are driving a car that is not that safe with the rear end all screwed (which might just be an axle but I can tell anything from body shots) and you KNEW the ground was wet and you KNEW how fast you where going. If they are anything like Missouri you will lose your license until you are 21 with the accident and the ticket if you dont get it fixed.

I am not trying to sound like an ass (I probably am though) but seriously man you just screwed yourself. If they are going to try and take your license i suggest this. You ell EVERYTHING you have EVERYTHING. Part the car or whatever and get the money for a lawyer. This something that no one wants to do but weigh it out really quick.

Sell everything and replace tangible items as time goes on.

or

Lose your license, pride, hurt you chances at getting jobs, have the stain on your record for years, have even more OUTRAGEOUS insurance IF anyone will even carry you after losing your license.

If I sound like and a**hole fine but take what I said into consideration. Dont waste time you dont have thinking about what to do. State doesnt give a  about you or your situation and will show no pity when court comes around .

Im taking it to a shop getting a write up on the damages so that I have it to bring to court, then im gonna fix it, since i have everything to replace pretty much right now. Just need shocks. The drivers shock is almost resting on the back of the shock tower, pass shock is almost resting on the front of the shock tower.
Does that give you any indication to its not just cosmetic

All sounds good in theory but this is what worries me

Got ANOTHER ticket, for care starting from stop...

Might lose my license now for a little bit..

The fact that you have multiple offenses now, your age, and (at least this one is a careless I can remember what the other was) it was a careless act I dont see the judge being very forgiving. Im sure some people can chime in on there experiences in court. I have only had 3 tickets, 2 court dates, and I had them dealt with before to avoid points. Honestly if you know this will work, fine. Dont take the chance. It will be worth the sacrifices now though life.

(doesnt help the tires are HORRIBLY hard and dryrotted.

dont blame stupidity on dry rotted tires guy. I drove my bird when I first started driving on the origional michelin gatorbacks.

dry rot doesnt have anything to do with slipping or sliding.

You are correct, but the fact that they are dry and hard does, along with the angle of the rear end...

And yea they might not let me go but who knows. Bringing the car to a body shop, having it checked completely front to back, and a paper made by the shop saying the mechanical defects. Then im gonna get all the parts, box the rear arms, reinforce the tourque boxes, put in the poly bushings, install the arms, and the rear from the blue car.
I bought my tires last night so i got that covered. We will see, im being positive and hoping since this one was out of carelessness/mehcanical defect and not screwing around im gonna pray. My grades are going up, I have a job that I have been working my ass off at, so im hoping if i bring in documentation of all that i might be ok.

But anyway!!
My tires are SWEET.
BFG Comp T/A's 245/45 zr16's
I got them all for 250, they have LESS then 500 miles on them, they are just about perfect. one had a nail, it was pulled out, and patched from the inside at a ford dealer
Im excited to get those bitchs on the car after the rear end is settled.

Sounds like you are turning things around and I commend you for that. Its hard to try and turn a lot around in little time but I can see that there is effort. All you need is to keep the determination. That alone is what is getting me though this semester. I failed everyone around me last semester, that is bothers me more than failing myself.

If I was you I would try and do as much footwork to make sure that when you go in to court that you will be prepared to the fullest extent. ANYTHING you can do to get information about anything to do with your court systems there, real life info though not book info (although still helpful it can cause you to sound like you know everything). Ask anyone and everyone about any dealing they had with your court system. You might also want some character witnesses such as a respected teacher (secondary education level teacher) that you have had, employer, neighbor, someone not related that would be respected by the judge. Although he might not ask them to comment it looks better if you have some support. Appearance is the first impression. Neatly pressed dress clothes, clean and in good repair dress shoes, and a tie.

I know I sound like a brother or dad or something but I dont think that just because there was a little mistake made I shouldnt try and share any help I can think of. Not trying to tell you what to do but just give you some pointer on what might help you.

I really dont know if the fact that your car had a defect is going to help though. Where were you headed and coming from? Do you have any way of proving this? If it was not school or work or an emergency then I dont see that one holding up. Only because you were consciously driving an unsafe car on a PUBLIC road. They might use that to show you where endangering other citizens because of that.

On the other hand I know a guy that has gotten 3 tickets in STL City for defective ler (had a fart can on his Saturn LOL). He would go into court with his Mom and the judge would ask did you fix it? He would tell him it was never broke and that was the end of it. So you might be able to get away with showing that you are in the process of getting it fixed but due to your situation it is taking some time. They might also respect the fact that you are funding all of this on your own and your parents are not paying for your insurance, cars, or repairs.

I wish you good luck and hope that everything pans out alright. I still think that is was a careless act but you admitted it was a mistake and that is all you can do so there is no need for me to rag on you about it. Good luck.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

I already have. Im done with this stuff. I dont wanna lose my car, or license.
Im fixing the car.
Slowing down, doing what I can to make it so im less likely to screw around (I.E putting tires I PAID FOR on the car, dont wanna buy more so they gotta last.).
Ive been working mad amounts, and im hoping that that will help me, as well as trying better in school. Ive always just not cared about what people said, or thought, but now they all think im not smart, or capible. And I know I am, so im gonna prove it.

bill blass has 5.0 HO
my car needs both rear quarters, its got a giant dent in the panel after the door which is gonna be major money to fix, needs a passenger door, powerlocks dont work, interior is a mess, and has a bird drivers seat, front k member air bag perches are rotted out, rear end is bent and whineing, theres a possiblity my drivers lower torque box is bent.
This car has one little rust spot, interior is PERFECT, paint looks amazing, has had all matenince done.
I mean look at mine:

So when are you going to give me a rear? LOL

If you can swing it get the new one. Why is he selling it so cheap though? Seems like there would have to be more wrong to sell that cheap if it is as nice as it looks.

So did you get rid of the first one yet or is this going to be 3?
