Masons stinkin lincoln number 2! November 02, 2008, 01:23:51 PM Well I brought home my newest addition friday!700 cash got me a 1990 lincoln Mark VII LSC(that I can register), included are 4 low mile bridgestone potenza tires on the car, and a trunk loaded with a ford racing aluminum radiator, full set of control arms, full set of poly bushings(front and rear control arms, swaybar mounts and end links), set of rubber front control arm bushings, set moog sway bar end links, misc. computers, set of ride height sensors, and its all stock(and rear end is worn, only does peg leg). It has 97k on it, paint is florida baked as well as dash and seats, car needs rear quarters, and a bit of body work but its mostly solid(underside is not rotted). Inside is trashed but it runs and drives great! Now the bad:Anyone know ANYTHING about an old school kill switch set up by a company named Chapman security systems? There was no key for it to be given to me so I was gonna remove it and hide it in the dash were it couldnt be pressed untill my buddy got in and hit it with his knee. Now the car doesn't start... Today Im gonna start removing the interior and gonna look up under the dash and see were it goes and maybe I can trace the wires and remove it.and a question:Next what is the easiest way to install poly bushings?? I spent all last night cleaning the rubber out of the bushing cups, and lubed up the small one and i barely got it in a 1/4 of the way. Anyone got some tips? I wanna get both front arms prepped, bushings installed, and ready because when I install my good front bags im gonna put in my KYB struts, my spindles with drilled rotors, and my turbo coupe sway bar since I made out and got a set of control arms and every poly bushing I need. There will be pics of every new part, and every step of the way. Thanks for the helpand the hints I leave you with are it will no longer be red on red, and boring stock lincoln looking, I promise that much. And my buddy is getting my ROH ZS wheels stripped and powdercoated for free, so he says. We will see.First pics come later! I'll check in for info soon! Now I need to get to work!! Quote Selected

Masons stinkin lincoln number 2! Reply #3 – November 02, 2008, 04:18:19 PM I'm sure it would wire in before the ignition, possibly into a connector like the one that kept my car from starting. This is the one that kept my car from starting, that I'm going to wire into a kill switch. I believe it connects the starter and the solenoid to the ignition switch. This one is located just behind the console on the drivers side.Hope it gives you a clue on what to look for. Can't wait to see the new pics. Reply #5 – November 02, 2008, 08:48:38 PM Yep found the relay for it under hood, and all the shiznit wireing the person did to install it that tied into the starter solenoid and coil. Once I found it, 5 mins and it fired right up!! Had to cut out the hood lock that thankfully didnt work as wellInstalled my 65mm tb, 65 to 60mm egr spacer I made, new IAC, my CAI, 9mm ford racing wires, ngk plugs, accel cap and rotor, motorcraft oil and filter, and my nicely painted explorer intake plaque. All and all a good day. Have to pull the TB again and get a real gasket, its sucking in coolent. Pics coming tomorrow!! Swapping the flat black front clip on tomorrow, with new shagy fog lights, blacked out grill, and polished headlights Quote Selected

Masons stinkin lincoln number 2! Reply #14 – November 12, 2008, 06:54:20 PM Here you go!! all the updates from FvC i made about the car!More to come ok ok these are some startersI put some seafoam in the gas, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil change, and my CAI, o and a new IACnext:Lost power one night and the outage fried my monitor, so thats why there has been no updates.I got a TON done on the car, mostly little , but step towards making it what I want it. Got the entire front clip off, and the whole front clip of the blue car, prepped and painted flat black and ready to go on. Lights are polished and ready to go, grill is painted and ready to go, as are foglights(need to find out why they dont work on this car either...). Pulled door panels, started replacing broken parts, fixed power door locks(car had no actuators), painted red parts black, painted dash cover black, just little things to make it looks better. O and its got its first cleaning in 3 years hahaha. The red isnt to bad when its clean! Also installed pioneer door speakers, and my old cars factory JBL 3 ways. Those things ROCK for 20 year old speakers!!! Still got a TON more work to do inside before I'm happy with it. Tomorrow the front clip and lights will go on, then its on to redoing the front end. New control arms with poly bushings, my old cars front bags and solenoids, my KYB's, T/C sway bar, and my drilled rotors and new wheel bearings. Should help handling ALOT, and keep the front end off the ground! Ordering a trac lok rebuild kit, and a full bearing, shim, and seal kit for the rear end in the blue car. Gonna have it redone and gonna install it with new control arms, poly bushings, and im getting a set of the spherical bushings from UPR. This way I have trac-lok for the winter, and the rear end is leaking anyway so it will be a very nice noticeable upgrade(I'm keeping the 3.27's)!5 more days till the insurance is all set, and then its registering it and inspection!! So far everything is on schedule!TONS of pics tomorrow!last:pulled bumper shell todaywelded the bumper bolts solid so its easier to remove it, cut old fog light bolts out, welded in new ones, installed new fog lights, and installed bumper. toggled switch back and forth and WHOLA! Lights work!! For 20 dollar walmart lights, holy shiznit they are bright as HELL. Hung the front fender, gonna pull them off, reinstall the trims, and bolt them one, then bolt on the header and bumper fillers, lights and grill. Should look awesome!! Quote Selected
