got a few more parts in this week...

jegs brand 8an hose 15ft
assortment of jegs an fittings
jegster universal sump
procomp 140gph fuel pump

Yeah you'll NEED that a sump. The engine in my 88 will stall under full throttle with less than 3/4 of a tank because the gas sloshes away from the fuel pump pick up. Your engine would probably be even better than mine at doing that with a stock tank :hick:

i hope it works out ok. i have a friend that's going to weld it on.

i also have another small update:

i sold me intake and carb........

carb was too big(from what several have told me), and wanted an intake with the water x-over. so i was able to order this the other day:

and i plan on buying a 650 for cheap, and putting a kit in it myself. i also found a trick way to install AN fittings on your hose without cutting the shiznit out of your hands, arms, face, etc. :D

wrap the braids with tape before you cut them? what you use to cut them makes a big difference too.

alrighty....

i got the motor in, and had a few snags. the navi driver side exhaust manifold will not clear the steering shaft. the oil pan rubs the steering rack(still!), and i got the wrong bolts for the flexplate. i wound up having to pull the trans out, so we could get the motor in. (i had 2 friends come over, and they werent coming over to do nothing, LOL!)

im now on the hunt for a manual steering rack, driver side cobra exhaust manifold, and the correct flexplate bolts. then i get to re-stab the 200lbs trans! yay me!

the carb sticks out of the hood by 2" right now. it will be higher once i have the N2O plate and air cleaner on there. i will look into using a "shaker" style hood scoop, as i feel a 6" cowl hood will look ridiculous on this car.
, straight!!!  Show that motor off!!

Can you get 5.4 stickers for the air cleaner, like they have on the older muscle cars?
I've reread the entire thread with renewed interest, and I can't wait to see this thing done.  Boy, if that 5.4 fits, I know my 400 will.:D

I i got a 650 four barrel holley, i was suppose to trade it to fila but like that would happen. let me know if your interested. Needs a cleaning BAD and more then likely a rebuild.

for the polished look, the intake had to be sanded down to at least 320grit. so i took it too a chrome plating shop and had them do it. they did a good job. the exterior feels like glass.

now i need to get it to the other place for coating. i may go today, if my back stops hurting.

are you switching to efi? cause it looks like that intake is drilled for injectors?
