Does anyone have a color breakdown by year? Reply #45 – May 29, 2007, 01:31:01 PM Those are the best photos of the TOP color that I could find for each model year. The '86 3U is actually a Blue Max for that model year. And you missed another...1988 code 7F. That's my old Blue Max. :hick: Anyway, they're not the true factory Tu-Tone colors so I didn't put a disclaimer on there. And 1Z is a solid color. Quit arguing with me on that. Soon as I get better photos for some of these examples, I'll gladly replace them. It's getting increasingly difficult to find good examples of each color, due to age and limited overall availability, and the extreme lack of original Ford ad support material that existed. I do the best I can with what's available. Like for '85 1Z, I *could* have used the XR7 1Z photo, but I wanted each model to be sort of separate so nobody gets confused. I tried to get every color from its correct model year, and only GS/LS models for non-XR7 paint schemes. That's bloody difficult to do...some of the colors I'll probably never find, in which case I will substitute an equivalent Thunderbird photo (like I did for 1983 1M). I put up a thread here for just this purpose, in case anyone runs across something. Quote Selected
Does anyone have a color breakdown by year? Reply #46 – May 30, 2007, 12:19:23 AM Just for arguments sake, i took a closer look at my code 33 87 on memorial day and there are Mach 1 stickers on it. I really never looked that hard before . I really wish that it wasnt in so bad of shape.... i'd love to restore it back to its glory... but with the ammount of cancer, its definitly a no-go. I should be going up there in the next couple of weeks to pull the motor/tranny anf I WILL snap some pictures of the stickers. According to what ive seen on the red mach 1's they are the same stickers with the exact same placement. Quote Selected
Does anyone have a color breakdown by year? Reply #47 – May 30, 2007, 09:42:07 AM I KNEW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!I knew that stupid color HAD to be the Mach 1 Silver. It's the only color that matches the Ford description and my 87 Brochure doesn't list it, along with Mach 1 Red. Quote Selected

Mach 1's were supposedly a late edition MY 1988 only thing. Kind of a last hurrah for the TC as production ended.Brent Quote Selected
