Does anyone have a color breakdown by year?

I know it's a dead end, but my Fila is white with white leather.

Isn't the color issues addressed from a link at the Cool Cats home page? What more is needed?

It's an 83 TC IIRC.....

Then it would be Polar White with Charcoal.

Does nobody care that I spent an hour and a half correlating through 14 Brochures to get all this?!?!? :pbb: You guys suck!:dunce:

Well, It does serve as second source for those that don't get around to the home page.. I thought maybe someone would point out the differences.. :dunce:

The real trick is finding companies that still deal with fabrics from the 1980s. ;) By now, most of the OE patterns and materials have been long discontinued. That's why generic subsititutes, or using vinyl instead of leather, are common today.

BTW, the shop I use has books from 1978. I must be one of the lucky ones. ;)

I have never...ever...seen exterior color breakdowns for our cars.

The shop I know has books going back to 1970:grinno: . But yeah finding the interior materials is a pain. Try finding smoke grey leather. It's a pain in the ass........

Wrongo. That would be Oxford White with the Raven/Charcoal if it's an 87 or 88.

83...... guess I was alittle late...

Well, that's one I can't recall seeing before either.

He has it put away for winter hibernation, but I'll see what I can do. Maybe he has some pictures of it that can be scanned.

That would be Pastel Charcoal and a Oxford White interior. The brochure is still waiting for you.

What paint code would the following picture be?

That's the paint on my '85...but I don't see a two-tone listing for it.

PS The paint code on my door is faded to oblivion.

Jeremy, I don't have solid two-tone information for 1985. The color in that photo should be 1Z - Medium Charcoal Metallic.

Do you still have the tag on the radiator core support? That will give you the base color code.

-only because no one has metioned it, but you can get a breakdown of the VIN and the data plate of your vehicle from the front of the corresponding model year shop manual for that car.  meaning it lists the paint codes/trim codes/axle codes, etc for that particular model year.  its in the first few pages of the ford shop manual.  and yes , i know not everybody has one.....:dunce: just making the info availiable...........

I owned a light sage green '85 T-Bird with charcoal interior (my first T-Bird), and a buddy of mine owned one with the tan interior. He then painted it dark sage green, then he wrecked it

Thanks Aerobird.  My wife commented that she had seen the dark Cinnabar exterior on an '88 and thought it was very nice color.  Yes, she adamantly says--the interior we have is CINNABAR with Rose Quartz exterior.  I thought Cinnabar was only interior.
