Oh I love it!  I wonder if the console out of an 83 would fit?

The bottom of the box dash doesn't look like its made for a console though...  You can see the bottom of the dash under the radio surround.

The consoles on the box-Foxes were different

If you can find a console out of an LTD or an LTD LX they would work since they are the same dash/console.

I have always thought of those cars as the 2-door versions of my late, great, beloved fox-chassis LTD.

The car looks AWESOME with turbines on it.

Thanx for all the comments.:D  I've been busy getting the old drivetrain ready to come out.(This weekend I hope) As far as interior mods go, I'm trying to keep it stock as possible . Thanks for the console info Chuck. That is the one mod that I would like to do, more so, if the linkage for the AOD gives me too much trouble. I'll post more pics as I get things done.

If you wana keep it looking stock but have some goodies hidden I put a mini tach in to the clock so it revs from 12 o'clock, and I was able to mount my cd player where the ash tray goes and hinge the cover off the front of it so you flip the door down (it actually has hinge points in it that line up almost perfect to the width of a stereo) and attach the face plate and when its off you can close it up so nobody will ever know :D

Quick question...

Do the rear springs still happen to have their little tags on them?
If so can you read them?

Just curious.

It's raining like hell right now , so I'll have a look see when it quits. The whole underneath is covered with 1/2 an inch of oil spray so if they are there I should be able to read em. just checked...sorry no tags

It's hard to see right now as I have the front end jacked up to pull the motor. I hope to have it out this weekend. Then I'll be jacking the rearend up and I'll know for sure if the tags are there. They might be up top, out of sight.

No worries.  I guess I missed your edit post.
If they're there, they're there, if not, no big deal.
