cool man...my bro had a '88 Gran marquis that was a detectives car...I'm actually looking for a '92-current style with the 4.6 v8 though...my uncle has a Caprice 9c1 with the 350 TBI...fast car...but I like the P71 handling better

Aww hell, my work has about 105 CVPI"s out back (could be more, could be less, our shop's contract is to hold 105). I'd like to have a new CVPI, but I'd never own a used one. Those cars are brought in absolutely beat.

The 05's and 06's feel real heavy and slower than the 03-04's.  This is what happens when you add things like adjustable foot pedals.  I don't like what they did to the column shifter or the key turn on the ignition either.

The thing I hear the most complaints about is that ed seat belt chime. Ford should have done what Dodge did (make the chime go off only when the vehicle is moving), but instead the thing goes nuts every 30 seconds as long as the engine is running. A royal pain for the cop sitting in the car using the computer or writing tickets...

I don't think I've laid eyes on any 06's yet - hell, we're still doing up 03's. The RCMP bought a shiznitload back then and they still aren't all in service yet. We have done up a bunch of 04's and 05's, but there are still several brand new 03's on the lot...

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
