nate - you should see my notebook :giggle:  it has three different lists in it to try and keep everything within my budget.
things i NEED to get it back on the road
things that would be nice before it gets back runnin the first time
things i really want, but will probly hafta wait till a later date.
theres also pages of notes i have collected from researchin different parts and interchanges

lol, at least i'm not the only one. i've got notebooks, spreadsheets, word docs, and random items that i wrote on. and they change almost every friggin day. :)

actually now that I see the mounting points of the IRS, it doesn't look AS intimidating as previously...

It's not all that hard.....Things are close enough and you can fab anything that isn't.  I do possibly see the Tbird gas tank being in the way....you may need to go fuel cell.  I thought about it in mine just to make some more room.  I don't have the small TC tank...I have the big 5.0 tank in the car (22gal I think).

Yeah, it's kinda like when you don't know anything about cars and you look in the engine bay and all you see is a sea of "stuff" merged together. Then one day you wake up and you see all the individual parts and whatnot and how they work together and you're like... ooooh. Well that's basically what just happened with the IRS. The "oh" moment. lol. :D
