MM C/C plate users...pics please!!!

Ok so I'm looking at my strut mounts from under the hood, oh man, they are screwed.  They might be original!  They gotta go.

I'm looking at Maximum Motorsport's plates, but they look like they might interfere with my Kenny Brown 3-pt strut tower brace. Odds are I can't use them (and I'm not keen on removing the STB) but I'd like some confirmation.

Thanks :)

i have a BBK strut tower brace, 3 point. i mad a spacer to allow the use of the MM cc plates. i can eather take off the spacer and move the passangerside CC plate all the way one way, or put it on and move it all the way the other way.

Well, I just recently got MM's strut tower brace (not on the car quite yet though) and they say theirs is designed to work with their C/C plates. So if I ever get em I'll be in luck :)

This might be all I need. That's an 85, right?  Well the strut towers probably didn't change much by 1988.  :)

Thanks guys, the forum always hooks a brotha up! :D

Yes the MM STB will work with their CC plates. The Kenny Brown unit looks fine on the driver's side, but the passenger side is a little tight.

The bottom pic on page 1 of my cardomain shows my 87 with the MM cc plates and strut tower brace installed. Couldn't put the pic here because the file size is over the limit. The link is in my sig.

So adjust the JPG compression ratio, and voila!  :D

Thanks for that pic too!

MM got back to me, said they doubt it will work from their experience with the KB brace.  I'm gonna compare it with these pics again...but yeah, odds are I'll just go with stock mounts and use the extra cash for MM's solid 1" rear swaybar. That's what I really need to balance the handling on this rig. :)
