could be, info on that switch ison the coolcats.net site. Also, those seats looks just like the ones in my sisters tempo.

1987, prolly diffrent, but it even has the same pinstripe red what ever that is called, and the same shade of grey, I assume at elast.

Park on a hill and slam the trunk. That's how it got me.

The inertia switch's mechanism is a small steel ball sitting in a funnel, held in place by a magnet underneath it. With a good enough thump, the ball breaks free of the magnetism, rolls up the side of the funnel, and hits the lever above it, which triggers the other bits that make up the "switch" part. Besides actual impacts, the magnet may get weaker over time, letting the ball break free with any little bump.

The easiest way to rule it out as the problem is to remove it from the circuit.... unplug it, and use a jumper wire in its place.

Right on, the amimation is awsome:bowdown: so from what im hearing it could be one of the following problems: inertia switch, relays , wireing (somewhere) or at the top of the tank . the more i learn from you guys the more my dad thinks i know what im talking about ....everyone on this borad rules ... id give you all some free beer but most people dont live around me  ( good canadian beer too:D)
