(getting it because my grandfather's almost gone, and I'm getting my uncle's truck when he gets my grandfather's F150) But anyway, looks like I'm going to have a Dodge full-size regular cab truck, in the style that came just before the recent one. (late 80s/1990-ish)Have to put an oil pan gasket on it and both valve cover gaskets.. is the former as much of a pain in the ass with a 318 in a Dodge truck as it is on one of these Fox bodies?Feel free to get all those "Eww, a Dodge" comments out of your system now.. :pEDIT: The following isn't a picture of the truck in question, but it's as close as I could find to it in a quick search. Remove the oil dipstick. Raise and support the front end on jackstands. Drain the oil. Fig. 7: Always install a new oil pan gasket on a clean surface-V8 engine shown Remove the exhaust cross-over pipe. Remove the left engine-to-transmission strut. Remove the bolts and lower the oil pan. Thoroughly clean the gasket mating surfaces. When installing the pan, always use new gaskets coated with sealer. Apply a drop of RTV silicone sealer where the cork and rubber gaskets meet. On the 5.9L engine, make sure the gasket notches are positioned as shown. Tighten the oil pan bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm). Tighten the cross-over pipe to 24 ft. lbs. (32 Nm). Quote Selected

Also when you torque down the bolts, make sure you triple check the setting on the torque wrench. Then have someone else check it, trust me ! Quote Selected
