Is this welder any good? October 11, 2005, 09:18:57 PM Time for the next phase of my project & fix up the rust spots. This welder fell into my house. I have to start reading up on welding, but is this one any good? It really doesn't say what kind it is. I can only use stuff that runs on 110V as I have no 220V outlets, and this one meets that need. Is this welder any good? Reply #3 – October 13, 2005, 08:35:51 AM a 110v should be fine for body work, not welding really thick/strong . I plan on picking one up one day when I start doing my body work on the car. want a almost running motor first. Quote Selected

Is this welder any good? Reply #5 – October 14, 2005, 01:50:11 AM Hmm honestly you wont be able to use that for welding body panels. An arc welder will heat up the sheet metal to a point were it will warp or it will just burn a hole. Now the Carbon arc feature can weld sheet metal but it takes skill. I can do it but I was taught by the best. I still find it hard. Quote Selected
