Is this welder any good?

Time for the next phase of my project & fix up the rust spots.

This welder fell into my house.  I have to start reading up on welding, but is this one any good?  It really doesn't say what kind it is.  I can only use stuff that runs on 110V as I have no 220V outlets, and this one meets that need.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

a 110v should be fine for body work, not welding really thick/strong . I plan on picking one up one day when I start doing my body work on the car. want a almost running motor first.

Here's the info on the thing:
Primary Volts 115V Primary Amps 15A
Open Circuit Volts 45V Amps Output 50A
Temperature Rise: 115degrees C
Duty Cycle: 20%

1/4" Carbon, Heat-Solder-Braze
1/16" Electrode Welds up to 1/4" Thick Metal
3/32 Electrode Welds up to 1/16" Thick Metal

Modes:
1) Carbon Arc Torch  (WTF is that?) :flame:
2) Heat/Bend Metal
3) Braze & Solder
4) Arc Welding

Sounds impressive, but don't know what it means and if I should bother to figure out how to use it!!

It has a hood, but if you put that on you are nearly blind its sooo dark!

Hmm honestly you wont be able to use that for welding body panels.  An arc welder will heat up the sheet metal to a point were it will warp or it will just burn a hole.  Now the Carbon arc feature can weld sheet metal but it takes skill.  I can do it but I was taught by the best.  I still find it hard.
