Broke Down and Did It

For the past two weeks or so I had noticed hust a hint of blue smoke on startup coming from the exhaust.  The bottom end of the motor has 30K on it and holds good oil pressure.  The heads are mild ported e7's and the valve guides are worn so I'm doin the nasty.....

I'll be parts hunting.  Gonna grab some 24 pounders and a larger mass air meter from a friend of mine.

Yea I'd get one of the conversion harnesses from ebay and a Mass Air EEC ain't that hard to find... Then with your buddies injectors and air meter you'd be set.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Probably real low 13's, maybe 12's with the right convertor.  I just wanted to finallly get it all done at once now that I have an excuse.

I believe I am going to order that kit myself ,see if I can waken my motor up a little more with the combo I have.
