Re: two for the price of one bird Reply #16 – September 09, 2005, 10:01:08 AM looks like maybe a new roof. like these guys said. check the rear pillars. and get under the car to see if there is a seem there.deffinately find out the most you can, if it is a new roof, no big.. safe enough, if it is halved.. just use it for parts. Re: two for the price of one bird Reply #20 – September 09, 2005, 09:24:32 PM With a salvage title, it's likely already been inspected before it was reissued. If it was done properly there won't be a problem, cars are halved all the time. I'd be far more concerned about some of the rusty shiznit you guys are driving than a bit of welding. Back in '80 I had a unibody '69 Ranchero halved. I hauled all the wood it would hold and never had a problem. Interesting thing about it was it had already been cliped(halved) and then the right front had been partially clipped so it was a real mess. A freind cut it farther back from the first clip and redid it. Quote Selected

Re: two for the price of one bird Reply #22 – September 11, 2005, 11:19:27 AM yesterday when I had my car on the lift I found the third seem. its located at the rear of the floor pan wich would be under the rear seat. so it looks like I have half of two cars. Quote Selected
