351 go Boom

I had a slight piston failur the 2 days b4 going to the track.
car started to smoke a little and we thought it had intake gasket gone. We found that the #6 plug was getting oil on it.
Had probs br4 with intake gasket so thought the same.

In the time it took to drive to my buddys shop the little smoke went from just a little puff to Oh shiznit. Did compreson check and all was good. So still thinking it was intake we yanked the intake off.
Nope it was good. Off came the head and nope head gasket was good. So pulled the motor.

Found Oil ring and the full side skirt of the piston in the oil pan.
Forged piston to top it off.

Oh well

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
