Snowed here today. Hit 31°. Went out to meet up with some guys and flew model airplanes till it was time to go. Winters not all bad.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

We've got 4-6" on the ground now, it's 4 below, and Tuesday, the experts are calling for another heavy snow...some say up to 10".

We're supposed to get 2"-4" more tomorrow. There is already about 10-12 inches on the ground now (some over the snow has settled over time). I've got 3 foot+ piles at the end of my driveway. Blah.

We got about 5-6 inches here today. It is a very wet snow and a pain to shovel. They are calling for snow with a change to ice and then rain on Wednesday. Oh Boy I can't wait.

Herbsbird it looks like you got a little more than we did here near Harrisburg.

That's what SHE said...

MODoT is already saying people should plan to stay home tomorrow. We went to town tonight for a few things that we NEEDED, not because we think we'll be stranded, and Wal Mart was stupid. We waited in line for 30 minutes, I am serious. Unreal.

I remember the blizzard of '11....we were housebound for 4 days. I did get out on the quad, but it took me an hour to make it a mile. I gave up and came back home that day.

This one isn't supposed to be near that bad, but it's still a little odd to see Missourians buying shiznit tons of bread and water and stuff over a little 10" snow being forecasted...lol.
(I've got a deep freeze full of deer, and enough firepower to make every deer in 50 miles dead. I fear no snow. just the idiots who can not drive in it.)

Seems like every year on a couple of forums I make a post or two hootin' and hollerin' about the 1" of snow, can't drive, bad weather wheelmen who seem to be non existent during dry weather sessions lol.

We were coming back from St Louis the first week of January, in a blizzard, some  in a little import front drive coffin passed me doing about 60..I was going 45...we stopped at the next gas station, and there he was, stuck in a pile of snow at the entrance to the fuel pumps. Normally I'd offer my help in yanking them out, but if you're dumbassed enough drive 60 or so on roads with 2 inches of slick, you're beyond my help.

We saw quite few stucks and spins that day....we made it home in one piece however. The way the weather was, it was leave St louis when we did, or risk being there another night...and I wanted to see my kids. It had been 4 days at that point since we dropped them off, and we were homesick.

In retrospect, that was an arsed up trip...little good came of it, save for meeting with jcassity from here on the board.
The weather sucked the whole time we were gone. And soemthing with my body got all messed up...for about a week, it was all I could to move around the house. Wasn't sick or anything, just felt like a really bad case of jetlag and detoxing from something...only, I had nothing in my system.

So, back to current...all the schools here have been called off for tomorrow, and I think (by listening to the county chatter on the scanner) that they're considering declaring a state of emergency tomorrow. Meaning they can order people to stay home, and off the roads, etc.
Hell yes.

Here's a wacky thought. Wouldn't it be alright to load all this snow up, haul it to Nevada and dump it all into Lake Meade? They could probably use the extra moisture there....and I'm over this.... LOL

Ive been rocking my Turbo Coupe all winter and so far its been decent even with cobra r's on all season. I havent had a RWD in the snow in a very long time. Its going to be pretty disappointing when it doesn't go sideways as easily in the dry pavement lol.

They're calling for yet another 8-12" here tomorrow. Weather wench just said it's the 8th Wednesday snowstorm in a row. They're calling Wednesdays "Humpday Dumpday" now because of the weekly storms. All I can say is that I sure picked the right year to buy a plow for the truck...
