What were all the options on 88 T-birds? Reply #15 – October 02, 2013, 09:13:49 AM Keep in mind that the list from my site is only for Cougars in 1988. The LS options would probably be identical to that of a Thunderbird LX. However, the Turbo Coupe and Sport models had their own options not equivalent on any Cougar.I have found that the 1988 Thunderbird sales brochure is better at giving options for that model. You can find one on eBay or at a swap meet, more than likely. Quote Selected

It looked odd to see crank windows. Quote Selected

I think the Cougar LS and Thunderbird LX were pretty close on standard equipment.I've got an 88 Thunderbird sales brochure at home. I should just scan the options page and post it here. I am an auto tech and if you'd seen some of the oil Ive seen with over 3000 miles on it you would think like I do. Its cheap insurance that the motor gets to stay in one piece. Look at Gm's 4.8, 5.3, 6.0 oil consumption issues, Every one that we have had need major work for it was going by the oil life monitor for oil changes. Guess what 5000 + miles between all of them between changes. Ill stick to every 3000 myself! Quote Selected
