"Thousands of dollars of equipment"

That's like saying "I got 20 grand under the hood of this thing!!!!" Great.....WHAT did that money pay for?

Well, 2 weeks and 2 days later, my imaginary refund still hasn't arrived at my real mail box. My imaginary package he spoke of on another forum hasn't shown up either. Probably UPS's fault for not handling imaginary mail and packages as professionally as they should.

USPS won't deliver imaginary mail if you don't have an imaginary mail box! They should have left an imaginary note for you to pick it up.

Well I guess there's some positive things to take away from this incident - in fact I've learned two things:

1. Never trust a person on a car enthusiast forum that lists 9 cars in his sig, yet is unable to make it out of the house because mom apparently took the only real/running vehicle.
2. Never trust a person on a car enthusiast forum that is "owner, operator, fabricator, painter, etc." of a shop with "thousands of dollars worth of equipment," but insists on doing half-assed, bootleg car work on cinder blocks in his front yard.

Class dismissed :)

LOL that's a real hoot, but apparently true...

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

It is kind of nice that you guys let another forum know about the entire situation so some one else didn't get a raw deal.
Something kind of similiar happened at turboford over bamafuel/shiftless. Guy took a ton of money from ppl and bailed (640 a pop over 10 people that I know of) and far as I know he tried doing the same scam at a mustang site (wasn't a member, mustang guys can be tools sometimes). Just hard to keep track of people on all forums with different names, but glad somebody put in the effort so as to protect others in this case.
88 Turbocoupe: Coast High Performance 331 kit 28oz balance, Comp XE264HR14 cam, 58cc 185 afr heads, 1.7 roller rockers, Mass-Flo EFI (was POS to setup and their techline is a joke at best)
Full 1 5/8 primary equal length headers, 2 1/2 exhaust, Full manual reverse VB c4 and baked off clear coat "BECAUSE RACECAR"

Just so you guys know, I didn't push this fr the drama. Vinnie is a good guy with a well proven track record. I was trying to get him a refund, not screw with the kid. I know there's a lot more to the sotry that we don't know. I'm glad he can't sell on the other forum, but it sucks that it had to go down this way.

Good luck vinnie, wish you the best.

I just got home  few minutes ago. No imaginary packages or refunds on my real porch, or in my real mail box. I doubt I can buy much with an imaginary refund anyway. Luckily there's a huge geographical gap.

Vinnie not that I'm necessarily trying to defend him, but are you sure you gave him the correct address for the refund? you know just a 1 number off typo could have that envelope RTS right now...
