Well I screwed up on installing the valve body. Pretty sure I didn't get the manual valve lined up and now have neutral in every "gear". So I'll be dropping the pan again in the morning. Ugh

DOH.....reminds me of when I slapped mine in and the gasket shifted maybe 1/16" and it wouldn't go out of first. Actually I think it would go for 2nd and just freewheel. :giggle:

Is it modified at all with a shift kit? If not, you should definitely amp it up just a little anyway while it's apart!

No 5-speed for me. This is a daily driver family car. Maybe if it was a weekend car. I would have bought a 2-door for that.

I dont know what was done to the valve body. Later on I plan to get another trans to rebuild and add a mild stall converter to.

No. Why?

Just curious. I think it would look cool in white, but it would also look a little too much like a cop car.

Yea. White would be too much and I don't want to paint the jambs, engine bay, trunk, etc.

New(er) valve body seems to work good. Getting exhaust done in the morning.

Trans only has Reverse, 2nd and 3rd. So....junk. Going with a 4R70w now and the transgo manual valve body kit.

Anyways, here's an idle vid:

Sounds awesome...what a sleeper.  This would be so fun to drive around and pick on Camaro's with.

If you are inclined there are people getting the 94-95 5.0 computer to control the new 4r70.
Mite be better than the manual vb.

Yes, I do. I'd rather have the Baumannator but that's $540 with the "universal" wiring harness.

Here's a better pic of the exhaust:
