I know, I owe those that responded pictures. It's freezing here. Need to get out there. It's not leather, it's cloth, very "plush" inside. Kinda a split bench/semi-bucket with the console attached. Whatever it is, I love it.

I've never seen noticed that color combination before, it's awesome!
...and there was light!

Our interior is identical! If I had an aftermarket stereo and a dash cover, you would not know the difference between the two cars if you are sitting in them. Mine is just as factory fresh as yours. Mine is a California car with a little over 55,000 miles.

Even power recline seats.  Beautiful car.  I too, have never seen that color combo.  I really like it.

Nice :)

It looks to have every option but leather and sunroof. I kinda dig the LX cloth seats.

Thanks guys. I thought is was a nice find and I jumped on it. It wasn't a "steal", I paid 3K using proceeds from selling an old ranchero and some parts. The wild part was the car was driven into a Subaru dealership and traded in for $1300. The car went to auction and a small dealer bought it. It's not my preference to buy from a dealer but the price was fair and the thing just looked so unmolested. Not gonna do much but drive it, maintain it, and get a factory stereo back in there. No cracks in the dash either. Anyway, thanks for all the props... always good to know there's a contingent of people with similar taste in counter-culture cars like these.

This is getting really wierd. My car was the same price before TT@L and shipping. They both came from the same state. Interior is identical. They share same color on outside. Both have almost all options.

Thought I'd show my first mod other than replacing the thermostat. I remember the factory head units on these cars from my dad's 86 Taurus. I liked them plus I wasn't into the aftermarket CD player that came with my bird. I found this guy on ebay that adds an auxiliary stereo mini-plug jack for old Ford stereos. I bought one and installed it, so far it works great. Much better than the stereo that was in there and now I can add my iPhone.

So is the plug in the little "cubbie" above the radio?

Yes. You just drill a 1/4" hole in the back of the cubby, pull the threaded mini-plug cable end through (this is what the dude adds to the stereos) and secure with the threaded ring. There's no aux button obviously, when you plug your phone or ipod or whatever in, it just starts playing.

Oh, and I ordered some old cassettes on ebay from 1987 to put in the little cassette holder tray in my console. I'm wacky like that.
