1982 Cougar Station Wagon

Hey everybody, i'm new here, but i've own my 82 cougar wagon for about 2.5 years, and i need to sell it.  I recently inherited my car from my grandmother who's the original owner. I know it's a one-of-a-kind so i was curious on the actual value of the car.

Specs
1982 Cougar Wagon GS
3.8L 232cu
C5 Automatic Transmission 3 speed w/ Torque Converter
53,000 Original Miles

Light Blue Exterior.
Power Steering
Manual windows
A/C - (busted compressor)
Cruise Control
Has the separate rear glass hatch.

Changes:
Carb replaced 17 years ago.
transmissoin replaced 6 years ago
2 year old Paint Job
New Pioneer DEH-P3600 Radio W/ New speakers

Problems:
Dash Board Cracked
Dasboard lights burned out (already checked connection and fuses)
Rear Defroster doesn't work
A/C compressor broken
Hatch won't stay open, (glass and body)

Drivers door, and rear passenger side, were broken into but there is no damage except for the chrome trim, and minor leakage due to messed up weather stripping only on the rear passanger side.

Other than that, the car runs perfectly, the carb is fine tuned so everything works fine.  Paint is glossy and new.

Just want to know the value....

Thanks,
-Matt

i would  be happy to see a grand come you way for it due to the mileage only but its gonna be a hard row to hoe.  no one wants the boxy station wagons anymore.

yea, it's a nice car and all, but that stupid 3.8L V6 engine is ... first year it was used... and only a 2 bbl carb?... gas milage sucks.... but i like the safety value.... get in any accidents with a small honda, tear through the thing

haha exactly what I say about my t-bird 'cept i've got the 4.2L

I'd think you could get $800-$1000 for it, pics would help, I actually like the early boxy foxes, but i'm kinda biased :p

Have you not heard of the concept of an engine swap?

Drop a 3.8 SC engine in that thing  :hick:
