O2 extension harness Reply #2 – August 30, 2011, 11:27:21 PM I'm just going to lengthen the wires on my replacement O2 sensors for free. That's a chunk of money in the Sport's world. Quote Selected
O2 extension harness Reply #3 – August 31, 2011, 08:35:26 AM If you need new sensors, you can buy them with longer wires. That is what I did. Quote Selected

O2 extension harness Reply #7 – August 31, 2011, 12:10:12 PM What did you use Jerry? I was thinking about using the regular crimp connectors and shielding over it. Quote Selected
O2 extension harness Reply #8 – August 31, 2011, 12:17:00 PM I soldered them, and used shielding... and I had some heat shield tubing that went over all of it near the header Quote Selected
O2 extension harness Reply #9 – August 31, 2011, 12:32:38 PM I'll try to solder them. If it doesn't work, I can always crimp them. Thanks. Quote Selected
O2 extension harness Reply #10 – August 31, 2011, 04:30:25 PM You can extend the O2 sensor wires in the harness (which I did) but not the wires on the O2 sensor. The wires in the harness are regular wires but the wires on the O2 sensor are special and should not be lengthened. If you do you'll ruin the calibration on the O2 sensor and it will not function properly. Quote Selected
O2 extension harness Reply #11 – August 31, 2011, 06:57:15 PM Hmmmm, I never thought of that. Lengthening the harness is easy enough. Yes, I'll do it !!! Tomorrow. Quote Selected
O2 extension harness Reply #12 – August 31, 2011, 07:06:01 PM I made extension harnesses out of old sensors and part of the cars harness from the junkyard Quote Selected
O2 extension harness Reply #14 – August 31, 2011, 07:44:57 PM I'll pull the harness tomorrow,. That's an easy task. I'll first install the replacement O2 sensors and see how much wire needs to be added to the harness, then, make it happen. Quote Selected
