a little scavenging today...

It was nice, and me and the wife wanted a little break from the crumb-packers, so we loads up and heads to the cee-tay.

Down at the pick n pull I discovered 2 '88 Cougars, both V8 cars. One had a blue interior, moonroof, console, etc,. It was, I think, a Bostonian. There was 2 little round spots on the C pillars where some sort of badge had been...had a gold cat in the grille, a gold antenna base thingamajig, and the taillights were like mint. In fact, the whole car was in rather good shape. I wish it had been a Thunderbird, as the moonroof headliner was f*cking perfect.
The other had column shift, and was an LS, and was pretty beat.

From the blue one I took the floorshifter, cable and bracket, and the V8 harness for an upcoming project of which I'm not quite ready to divulge.

I also found a 3G and a mini starter on a 96 3.8 Bird, so I grabbed those as well.
I came across a Bill Blass Mark 7, hit pretty hard in the right front..I snagged the eec from it for future use. I almost yanked the AOD out of it, but talked myself out of it...regretting that now, though.
I was also looking for an OptiSpark for my '94 Caprice, but I was shiznit outta luck on that.
I also came up empty-handed on the spindles from the 2 '95 Stangs they had...I was beaten to the punch on all the SN95 rear brakes, too.

There's still an '88 5.0 Tbird/Cougar engine harness if a Kansas City-local member needs to snag one...it'll be at least 2 weeks before I'll have time to go back.

Not a bad little haul for a spur of the moment trip

Believe you me, if it hadn't have been for those 2 fences (one of which is electrified) I'd have looked it over when I called you. :(

I was there Sat and went through those same cars.  Got all the rear emblems off the tailgates.  A set of 24lb injectors, A Mark VIII fan etc.....

That one Cougar had about every option.  I needed the power recline seat trim, but they were all broken.  it.

What time/day were you there?

Mike, I was there Sunday about noon...we should trade cell numbers, and meet up there some weekend...it's about an hour and half drive for me. BTW, what would you charge me to snag that AOD from the white Mark 7? lol

Oh, and there's also 2 sets of STOCK '86-88 5.0 Fox Tbird/Cougar engine mounts/brackets in those 2 Cougars...or at least they were there Sunday lol. I would've grabbed a set if I'd had a way to jack the engines up to get them out.

I dont think I would even like to attempt to pull a tranny in the yard, I would probably kill myself under there. LOL
