a little scavenging today...
It was nice, and me and the wife wanted a little break from the crumb-packers, so we loads up and heads to the cee-tay.
Down at the pick n pull I discovered 2 '88 Cougars, both V8 cars. One had a blue interior, moonroof, console, etc,. It was, I think, a Bostonian. There was 2 little round spots on the C pillars where some sort of badge had been...had a gold cat in the grille, a gold antenna base thingamajig, and the taillights were like mint. In fact, the whole car was in rather good shape. I wish it had been a Thunderbird, as the moonroof headliner was f*cking perfect.
The other had column shift, and was an LS, and was pretty beat.
From the blue one I took the floorshifter, cable and bracket, and the V8 harness for an upcoming project of which I'm not quite ready to divulge.
I also found a 3G and a mini starter on a 96 3.8 Bird, so I grabbed those as well.
I came across a Bill Blass Mark 7, hit pretty hard in the right front..I snagged the eec from it for future use. I almost yanked the AOD out of it, but talked myself out of it...regretting that now, though.
I was also looking for an OptiSpark for my '94 Caprice, but I was shiznit outta luck on that.
I also came up empty-handed on the spindles from the 2 '95 Stangs they had...I was beaten to the punch on all the SN95 rear brakes, too.
There's still an '88 5.0 Tbird/Cougar engine harness if a Kansas City-local member needs to snag one...it'll be at least 2 weeks before I'll have time to go back.
Not a bad little haul for a spur of the moment trip
