My 87 LX Reply #68 – November 13, 2011, 10:34:16 AM Thanks all, I felt real good when I sat her down yesterdayIm running factory 5.0 LX rear springs. The coilovers are Granatelli ones.Im searching for a set of tc or 4banger stang springs Quote Selected
My 87 LX Reply #69 – November 16, 2011, 12:50:42 PM Got 99% of the front brakes done. Have to get new fittings for the braided stainless lines because they went to bigger fittings... Oh welllll.Mocked the headers on the motor while it was on the stand to tweak the header on the driver side over more to the passenger side because as it was it was headin straight for the bolt in the crossmember mount. Well hopefully everything goes in peachy keen. Quote Selected
My 87 LX Reply #70 – November 16, 2011, 03:29:40 PM Engine needs more Ford Blue paint j/k.Looking good. You're getting close to driving it :). Quote Selected
My 87 LX Reply #71 – November 19, 2011, 05:41:58 PM Waiting on rear flex line, then I can run the rest of my brake lines for the back half. The rear brakes are done aside from the lines. After Ive bled the brakes its time to get a new pilot bearing mount up the flywheel/clutch and bellhousing and drop the motor down in the old girl. I have to clean up the tranny and shoot it then eveything will be done engine and tranny wise aside from getting the front acc'y stuff all put on and wired up but thats all easy enough to do.Im hunting for a good double hump tranny xmember and a nice set of TC or 4 banger rear coil springs. The factory LX rear coils make this thing look like its about to go baja racing. I cant wait to drop the motor in and call it good. Then.... I get to do all the fun stuff I like doing the most.... wiring.... yay..... Gotta save up for a battery relocation kit too. Quote Selected
