GT-40 tubular intake...PICS !!!...

I have a GT-40 upper and lower intake. The lower has the ACT provision freshly drilled and tapped. The upper has been opened to 75mm and also comes with a BBK 75mm t-body spacer (you can still use a 75,70,or 65mm t-body on it).

The finned areas of the intake were removed and replaced with smooth aluminum. I am going to polish the "tank" area, and the T-Body . The center tube area will be painted either Ford Blue,or a metallic graphite or silver. The lower will probably be left natural aluminum. I'll be asking $425.00 shipped for all 3 pieces.

I wish they had made one of those for the ugly v6 intake. I would buy it.

Jerry, with your welding skills,I really don't see why you couldn't fab one up easily.

Steve, just swap in a 5.0 and you're on your way.

I'm keeping my GT-40 that I have now. Jerry has my Explorer piece, and I have an extra GT-40 and Explorer (uppers and lowers) in the garage waiting for some love before I send them to a new home eventually.

I have the GT40 now,as you know,Jerry, and as much as I like it,it doesn't make any difference in power, and to be quite honest, I think the Explorer intakes I've had (the "FPV one you have, and my other "Cobra" version) had more character. I'm keeping the GT40 for a while, but I wouldn't be surprised if I sold it and went back to an Explorer intake with a polish and some other visual mod done to it.

Just because one CAN do something doesn't necessarily mean one SHOULD do something. LOL.LOL.
