Once school is all done for me, I hope to get the ball rolling. Of course, I'll need a real job, house, etc before that time comes...but that's why I'm on this site. My Sport Reply #17 – March 09, 2011, 04:12:44 PM hey, no problem...I didn't mean for it to sound all bragging and stuff...it's been a long time since I've had the money and time AND motivation to do anything...having all three at the same time is like an eclipse lol.Just don't give up, patience is also a good thing to have, of which i'm cursed with little to none of.It's taken me 5 years to just have an HO powered Bird...grass grows faster than I accomplish anything lol, and usually not by choice. It will all fall into place...just hopefully before I have (more) gray hairs... Quote Selected

My Sport Reply #28 – March 16, 2011, 01:03:11 PM I just used the cheap O'reillys ones...they had grease zerks, so that was good enough for me for now. I think my second gear issues is a synchro...although it might be a bent bearing retainer. If I can get a chance, I'll take the trans to a shop in the city...the guy has ads all over Craigslist...apparently he's good at them, and I also have a tip from another guy here on the board about a shop as well. I never did get the pics, but just imagine some sn95 spindles on fox arms and that's where i'm at lol Quote Selected
My Sport Reply #29 – March 18, 2011, 01:45:46 PM So I have the spring in now, but I'm stuck. I have the inside part of the spring compressor stranded inside the spring. Gonna try to get it out by taking the strut loose from the spindle, and using a jack to lower the control arm enough to finagle the part out...hopefully it works. A 30 minute job, as always, turns into a 3 day job. I get this car put back together, I'm probably gonna try to unload it on someone. Quote Selected
