See you in Indy Gumby.

I waxed my car Sunday, polished up the tails and headlights, and just cleaned it up in general.  I plan to leave about 9:00 or so tomorrow morning for Nashville.

We are leaving about 8:00.  Car is sitting in the driveway and ready to roll!

I'll look to hook up with you and Gumby in Indy tomorrow.  Assuming an uneventful trip, we should be there about noon.

Mark, if you check this before you leave, gimme a call when you get close. We can meet up for some lunch or whatever before we go in.

Be safe driving, both you guys. See ya tomorrow!

Wow, gumby's TC is the only 'bird in any of the photos on that page. Congrats, gumby!

Just got back.  I didn't get to catch up with Gumby or Mark in Indy but did finally meet up shortly in Muskegon, MI.  Both guys were super nice and it was nice to finally meet them and see their rides in person.  I totally forgot to take pics of their rides though!

My car was running warm most of the trip so I elected to skip Detroit and come home a day early.  It did great out on the road as long as I stayed below about 72-73 mph.  After that my driveline vibration would rear its ugly head.  Only other problems I had were that my "Thunderbird" trunklid emblem fell off, and I got a pretty nasty rock chip on my windshield while driving through Louisville, KY.  Other than that we had a great time and saw a lot of nice cars!  Even got about 21 mpg.

I am working on uploading my pics to photobucket and post up soon.

Hotels were all great...I stayed in the Sline Inn in Muskegon which was really neat.

Here are my pics:  http://s495.photobucket.com/albums/rr313/50tbrd88/power%20tour%202011/

And here are a few of my favorites:

I overheard the owner of this Lincoln saying that this car put down just over 900 hp to the rear wheels!

Frank Currie '32 roadster.  All aluminum Boss 429.  Drove it to Bonneville, ran 205 mph, drove it home.  Awesome car.

This was a really clean hot rod.

Very nice fastback.  Had a mod motor in it.

Considering there were only three fox tbirds in the whole event, I dunno if it's that great of a feat, but thanks!

You guys aren't gonna like it, but I didn't get my camera out at all the entire trip. I had a blast, however, and hope that I will be able to do it again sometime! Great to meet ya Chris, and good to see Mark again.

Very good to meet you as well Gumby.

I actually did see one other fox 'bird other than our three:

Anyone know or recognize this car?

It was a great time.

Quite a range in temps.  Indy was mid 90's, Metro Beach was high 50's.  Ton's of rain on Friday though (not that it slowed us down too much).  Great to meet Chris and see Gumby & Katie again.

We had a little caravan from Indy to Muskegon, with Gumby, my friend Ryan with his 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and Nathan Sheets from Lingenfelter in a 640 HP Corvette.  Nathan posted some shots of us on their Face Book site at the beach in Muskegon.

Glad Chris Wilson took pictures, I didn't pull my camera out either...

Round trip for me was about 950 miles.  No issues with car, averaged about 22 MPG.  Glad I had A/C & heat.

It pretty amazing how worn out you can get on the Power Tour, even doing only a few days!  Can't imagine doing the long haul.

With all the different types of cars on the Tour, I felt Fox T-Birds & Cougars were under represented.

I agree Mark...no way I could do the "long haul".  2-3 days is more than enough for me.
