Anyone considering going?  I am going again and can't wait!  Its going very close to home for me and will be at Indy this year for one stop.  I am hoping we get to drive on the track:burnout:.

Here is a link to the route:http://www.hotrod.com/powertour/2011/hrdp_2011_hot_rod_power_tour_locations_dates_registration/index.html

I plan to do Nashville, Indy, Muskegon, and Detroit.

If any of you guys want to go and need a travel buddy, let me know.  I can tell you this, its a GREAT experience!

I'd like to got but I'll be starting my masters program in January so I'm not going to be able to make any long trips for about a year and a half:hick:

Fix the T-bird and take it:D

That's the plan...hopefully I can drive it around the track.  I would love to add that memory to the many I have had in the car.

I fully understand.  I wasn't even planning on doing the tour this year but when I saw the route and told the wife about it, she was like "you've gotta go".  If you decide to go, let me know!

I'm trying to have my 67 Mustang ready for it.
My car is a gravity hybrid.  The gasoline engine gets me up the hills, and gravity gets me down.

Thanks.  I need to go back and add some more pictures.  I've finished welding in all the replacement metal and paint for the engine bay.  Just need to put it back together.

Will you be starting near your neck of the woods, or Nashville? I'm going to make the hour-long drive to Nashville, then the drive from the Guitar to Indy.

Thanks for the heads up on the Tour stops!

I will be hitting at least the last two stops (I grew up in Muskegon), but may be available to do a couple of the earlier stops too.  Just have to get the dates worked into my calendar.

I planned to do some pretty extensive upgrades on the car this winter, but for the first time in more years than I care to admit, I won't have a space to work on it.  The good news is: the long awaited garage addition is finally under way!  My decades of suffering a pre-1925 garage should be over in a few months.  It won't be the garagemahal, but it will be a great improvement.

Anyway, something dramatic would have to happen not to see me on the Tour!

I'm going to drive down to N-ville and start there.  The route may very well go very close to my hometown though.

I'd love to check your car out.  We will have to meet up in Muskegon.  I'm getting ready to book rooms...you know of any good hotels?

Unfortunately I don't have a specific recommendation, I typically stay with family on my vists there.

If you would like to be very close to the downtown venue, there are only a few choices and they are probably a little more expensive.  The good news is: Muskegon is not very big.  As a general rule of thumb it takes 15 minutes to get anywhere.  The greatest number of accomodations will probably be that far away.

That area is HUGE gear head territory, expect people to be coming from all over the west side and northern part of the state to involved in the event!

Something not to be missed for those of you going there is Pere Marquett Park.  It is one of the top 10 inland lake beaches.  It's a nice cruise from Down Town and there is lot going on down there in the summer.

Yeah, I've been to Bloomfield, before.

Anyway, that'd be awesome to run together.
