Those sound pretty good.  I might snap up the Stainless one for my 67 coupe.  I was thinking about resonators and a pair of Spintech lers.

I had a flowmaster 50 series with a flowmaster resonator on my Tbird SC.  Sounded mean.  It was the perfect level of noise, not annoying at cruise.  People were always mistaking it for a v8.  I don't think it sounded like a v8.  Just a nice, low, gravely tone.

I have a pair of flowmaster knockoffs on my 5.0 cougar but they have too much drone.  I guess this is a typical problem with chambered lers.
My car is a gravity hybrid.  The gasoline engine gets me up the hills, and gravity gets me down.

So I 409'd all that oily shiznit that builds up on my paint off and then I bought a buffer and waxed the bejeezus out of it and this is what I wound up with. I'm happy. I also removed my cowl trim piece and painted it and that looks much better too. But I didn't take a picture of it:rolleyes:

I only wish the sunlight had still been out and I could have gotten some good pictures. I had no idea my paint was still that good under all that purple build-up. I reeaaaaeeeeaaaaeaeeallly hope I can come up with some cash to get a tag on this thing soon cause I'm DYING to drive it again.

I called up the local tire shop to see how much it would cost just to remove the py tires I have and remount them on my turbines just so I could get the look since I don't have any money to replace the tires right now and they said it would be about $80 and I said oh ok nevermind.

Wow, Steve! She really cleaned up nice! The elbow grease payed off big time.

I actually think those wheels look pretty good. It'll at least get you through for a while in good style.

Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of that sound. It's a bit too raspy for my old  fogey tastes.

Yeah those wheels are actually in pretty decent shape and they don't look bad, no, but I just love the turbines so much more. I can't wait to put them on. Plus they've been sitting in my computer room for about a year and a half and my wife is going to kill me if I don't get rid of em:p

As for the exhaust, yeah, I've changed my mind on that again and am just going to go with a 3" in - dual 2.5" out  Flowmaster 50 series. Which is still loud and raspy, but better. Kinda. I like it like that though. Nobody else really seems to but eh that's just my taste;)

Looks good... you'll have to stay on top of it with the waxing... or it will probably start going back in about a month....  my Merc Monarch had the same problem.. I found that the cheapest wax back then did the best job.... it helps to keep it out of the direct sun and rain too... if possible

I like the wheels on it too

I'm thinking I will have to wax it at least every other week for a while till I get a nice build up and unfortunately the only way to keep it out of the sun, weather, and trees, is to use a car cover. Of course by doing that I risk scratching the  out of it too so I'm just gonna have to deal with it.

Hey you guys can have my wheels after I get them off if you want;)

That's funny. I was thinking I'm going to have to get a pair of 15's to mount slicks onto.

As for the exhaust, stuff like that is very personal. You like what you like, and it's all cool.

Is the paint on your car clear coated or just regular paint?

Honestly I'm not sure:hick:

I really don't think so at times b/c if I let it sit it builds up all that oily purple/black/blue stuff on it but if I take a bottle of 409 or something similar, (b/c a regular car wash solution will not work), then the paint actually shines up quite nicely. Its hard for me to tell. But the fact that I don't have any clear coat peeling off, on any part of the car, anywhere, at all, really makes me think that I either never had, or no longer have any.

I do have a notion that it has been repainted in the past, just because that paint seems way to orangey to be factory. I mean look at that picture above, that I took of me in the door, you can see the orange peel. Thats not bad waxing, its the way the paint looks.
