It works great, and you got it from where? No way a junkyard trans actually works correctly!

I'm actually kinda mad at my setup right now, it just doesn't seem as smooth as I had imagined. Oh well, more "adjustments".

And if I have to take this trans out again, I am definitely having the exhaust redone! But I should probably figure out what to do with the manifolds, whether I leave them stock or switch to shorties.

I'm really glad to hear it's all smooth after the work you put in. Good job man!

Thanks!

The guy said it shifted great when I asked him about the car. That was before I even mentioned the trans. Said he drove it but it had NO brakes lol. btw I'm about to send you a PM. I think you'll be interested in it.

Oh and thanks IROC

Here's a few random cool pics:

Thought this was cool...just a peek under the hood lol

And for those of you that haven't seen my bass, this thing's ugly, but it thumps man

Some latest engine pics:

And I got my LED hood light replacements back in finally after the old ones got chewed up...

They actually light up a lot more than it appears and they look so cool

So that's my randomness for today. Hoping to have a tag by next weekend.

Looks Good. How come no rear tag  thought Florida cars were tagged for life?

Huh?? Where did you here that? In florida its $350 to get a tag and then another $65 to keep it every year. And if you drop insurance you better get rid of that tag or your going to jail. So since I dropped insurance on it when I got the Thunderbird, I ditched my tag and put it on the bird too. So i'm going to re-insure it next week and on Friday I'm going to go drop the 400 bucks for a new tag:yuck:

And when are the new tires with those turbines coming?

List of most important things to be done in the order they shall be done:

1. Tag - next week
2. Exhaust - around 2-3 weeks
3. Tires w/ turbines - prolly end of March/mid april
4. Front struts - guessing May
5. Rear brakes - prolly end of may/beginning of june; hoping to tie in with TC rear end swap/disc conversion

All that needs to be done to get her roadworthy to make the trip up to DD this year. Being as its in August, I don't see any reason why it won't happen.

After I get the new tires on I'll prolly bring it down to your place. Lovin' the new sigpic btw.

Ouch the last time I was talking about  tags in Fla was 20 years ago. I thought $50 every 3 years in. Mass was high. Anyway its looking good.

geez well now its looking like the tag is going to get put off....:punchballs:

I just went to go look at adding the car to the insurance and now its showing that I've got a $250 payment due on the 8th when I just paid it on the 21st, and another due on the 20 of this month:wtf: that's going to put a damper on things....

Well depending on whether or not I can get the truck I'm looking at on Monday, I will be getting a tag. Either way getting a tag is next but if I cant finance this truck then I will have the extra cash to shell out for the $360 piece of stamped sheet metal. After that I'm waiting on my stupid headers to get here so I can get some tailpipes on this beast. I ordered them a week ago and they still haven't shown up. I'll give him a few more days then I'm contacting him.

Sweet! Looks good Steve. I have the Thundercat ones on mine. Can you use the original lights if you want instead of the leds?

Project Black Panther: 1988 3.8L Cougar LS

Absolutely. They're just replacement 3157 bulbs. Can get them at any major auto parts store.

I in fact hate them though. They only shoot straight ahead, and have no side or rear firing LED's so all you see are the bulbs. They suck at lighting up the housings. I want to get a new set from V-LED's or SuperBrightLED's.
