I think this was a win for thunderjet. (I agree.) There's plenty of Marks out there. (I agree.) You are better off spending $3K on a really nice one needing nothing than $400 on one needing a bunch of stuff. (I agree.) That car isn't worth $1200. (I didn't see it in person, so I can't agree or disagree, but someone thought it was.) Just because someone pays a high price for something doesn't mean it's worth that high price. (I agree, especially in the case of Barrett-Jackson.)

Hey, I think we're on the same page!

I'm sure it wasn't worth $1200 to you BUT......

I'm gonna disagree by saying obviously it was worth $1200 to somebody or it would not have sold  :D

I couldnt tell you what is was worth to me because I only saw a few pics on the computer, and that is not how I would want to buy a car ;)

I don't need a Mark VII I just would like to have one. Hell really I just want to pick up another big Fox-body locally to tinker with. I just want a runner not something I would take to shows all the time. I have one for that already ;)

The air ride system on the MKVII cars is very basic.  Once you tear into one and replace the parts you'll wonder why you were ever scared.  A very good friend of mine has a nice collection of those cars, all LSC's.  I was leary about them at first till i watched him do both front bags on a car he got for $300 (only needed bags) in about 1.5 hours and that was doing some heavy beer drinking too.  They are wonderful cars and the following is huge.  The biggest bitch ive seen with finding parts for them is for:

A:  Correct foglights
B:  Correct stereo equipment
C:  BBS Wheels (tough to find)
D:  Factory Recaro Seats

Then again all that  is really trivial in a DD.

1.5? must have been some hard core beer drinking.  I average about 20min. a bag on the front.
