I grow a small vegetable garden every year -- mainly tomatoes.  I usually get about 6 or 7 dozen tomatoes from 4 plants......

3 tomatoes turned red for me this year.....2 were rotted on the vine before they even turned red.

Everything else suffered as well.

Let me see.  When was the last measurable rain....That must have been February.  Sprinkled in June due to a thunderstorm.  Threatened rain three weeks ago but not.

We could be due for snow this year as it's been 5 years since the last snow.

Darn the good weather.  Just about 350 sunny days per year.  The biggest hazard to autos we have is the plastic rotting blasted sun!  I did have to wash my car six months ago.:D

Doubtful.

Then again, you also live in a somewhat "warm" location that doesn't see the harsh winters and the corresponding car-eating compounds that get dumped on the roads in the winter months.

Drove the 84 XR-7 year-round.  It's now a metal cube someplace.  The Tbird would have met the same fate had I continued to drive it year-round.

If you lived up north, then driving year-round would be a feat.

My tomatoes sucked this year as well. The only ones that grew were the cherry tomatoes and I got bunches of them:D

Yeah try driving it year round in Chicago. The thing would be eaten by the salt in a few years. The 95 is slowly getting eaten by the salt but MN-12s come from the factory with rust ;)

When snow stormshiznit Chicago they salt and salt and salt. The roads are white with salt from the first snow storm till some time in March when we get enough rain to wash it all away.

Do you have that problem by you Paul or do they show restraint with the use of salt? I wish they would here. They salt when we get an inch of snow.....

It's cool when the snow has melted and the pavement is dry. I can make rooster tails behind the car with the salt dust that is on the road :hick:

I drive the Mk 7 year round, but salt isn't too bad here. I just put in a new heater core and the stock wheels and all season tires are on for winter. :hick:
