Heat perhaps but it looks like little more than a rubber or closed cell foam variant. I would think the stock type would do a much better job at sound dampening (neither will do vibrations). Of course, this is one of those things where no actual tests will be done to prove it one way or another. I've also had bad luck with any and all spray adhesives, including the ones offered by RAAMaudio. After 2 years, it began to fall off of my doors and they were cleaned/roughed up more than I likely needed to.My hood liner all nasty due to age and an alternator fire though. Quote Selected
