I did get info on the Ranger/Explorer condensers. They end up a bit tall to end up in a good spot I think. The stock Tbird one measures roughly
22 1/2 x 15 x1 1/2

The problem is that i need the condenser inlet/ outlets roughly in the center to work really well.

Here's the rad and IC with permanent mountings. Fan is just hanging in place yet. I may just fit the condenser here and go with it, making a plastic shield along the bottom and sealing the sides to the IC and rad.

Here's a pic or two of the charge tube with the epoxy applied. Needs a paint job yet,  but I'm thinking I'll be welding brackets on it for both the PS reservoir and the FP regulator. I trial fit both of those last night, and it looks like the reservoir can fit in front of the tube next to the coil packs, and the regulator fits nicely in the space behind the tube.

Here's a couple views of the side of the stack from the front.

My nose is buried in a foot of ice. Can you guys tell from these pictures if I'll have trouble with the distance the condenser sticks out in front? I seem to remember a brace or something that needs to go there.

It'll be close.  I think there is a center support or something in there for the nose.  At least there is on the 4-eyes.  Not sure about the aeros.

That's what I recall, Chuck. Been a few years since I had my TC, I'm having trouble picturing it.

Well, if there is interference I have more room between the fan and pulleys to move the rad forward a bit. Sure seems to like to fit where it is, though!

There's a brace,I think you will clear though. I would measure mine but I can't get to it yet in the garage. I need to bring a loader home to move the snow.

No problem. I was born in Washington, PA. Not too far from there.

There is a brace. At the top it runs from the core support to the nose, and IIRC it will taper closer to your stack on its run to the bottom attaching point on the core support.

I cut mine apart and am only running the top portion where it attaches to the nose in order to run my IC layin flat in the bumper.

Thanks, man. Appreciate the help. I may just concentrate on keeping the IC and rad as they are and finishing up to where I can start the engine. After that, when it comes to bolting on the nose, I can decide to change out the condenser or not.

Love this list!:D

I cleaned up a bit,at least I got the door open. I took a few pics so you can see, it probably be tight on the bottom. Like gumby said you may be able to trim it off.XX

I'm taking a bit of a chance and ordered the 1990 ranger style condenser. It is a more modern design and is the one that fit the radiator I'm using originally. I'll try to fit it between the IC and the radiator, moving the rad forward a touch if I have to in order to get it in.

That should keep everything behind the nose brace.

BTW, got the Spectra branded condenser from Ebay for 56.00 shipped (pretty reasonable IMO), and I imagine I can resell it if it won't work.

Well I screwed up. I unpacked my nice, new silicone parts and found that the IC has 2.75" outlets, not 3"!!!

I'm an idiot for not measuring them carefully. Oh well, it's not the end of the world, but I need a 2.75 to 3" adapter now, plus some 2.75" clamps. I also measured (carefully) the turbo outlet and it is 2.75" also. Need to get the elbow for that, now. I'm not totally sure a 45 will make it work at this point after holding up what I have. I'm going to wait until I can bolt on the turbo again to order anything else.

Don't tell my wife.
