Going to the Boneyard sucked today.....

I'm going tomorrow (Friday) morning.I'm leaving at 7 to be there by opening at 8.If you need something, and are willing to pay a very fair price, let me know and I'll do what I can.No promises. The last time I was there a lot of the best stuff was gone. That was a couple of months ago.Who knows what's there now?Anyway,I'll do my best.I'll check here before I leave. If it's after 7:00 Friday (tomorrow) morning,it's too late to ask.

If there is a 140 speedo, tripminder, or 87/88 TC boot console piece in really nice shape, I'll be glad to grab em.

center console in decent shape, and the radio surround for it.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Where's the blower motor resistor? In the blower assembly itself?I've never had to deal with that.

the blower motor resistor can be repaired by replacing the thermal fuse near the coils with a 24awg wire.

problem solved.

lower glove box all the way down,, its mounted with two screws to the air box.

Hey Kitty,I couldn't get the resistor.sorry.

It was a rather uneventful salvage yard day.I got the following....

-Mass Air meter/sensor from a Mark VIII (injectors were gone)
-'88 T-Bird driver side tail light assembly
-Early 70's Ford sport mirrors (hard to find and worth a few bucks)
-Thunderbird/Cougar sunroof shade (red,pretty good shape,no cracks)
-3 sets (of 8) 19# fuel injectors
-a set of squeeze to release injector plugs (cool)
-Dome light lens
-5.0 dip stick tube
-Like new, distributor cover (I like those for some reason).

and that's really about it.Like I said, bad salvage yard day.I have a lead on a few more parts cars.I found a silver LX (5.0 car) that's silver with gray interior, full digi dash,8 hole wheels, column shift, bad tranny  (the owner says),very straight body,100% complete, good glass.$500.00.I'm thinking about getting it and parting it out.Not sure yet.If I can talk him down,it's a possibility. He says he has a red one as well for the same price, but I haven't seen it yet.Everybody send me $50.00 each (just kidding). If I get the car,I know I can probably sell enougf to make a good part of my money back, then the body itself will bring a little as well. It's still a "maybe" situation.

Haystack......no parts for you from the yard..I think I have a red console, but it's mostly stripped except for the storage bin.I also have a face panel.

Kingcars....I think I have the shifter boot in the garage.

Bob,out of 5 Cougars, every one had cracked lenses. The clear "cats" were all busted out.

Kitty....All of the earlier than '87 dew wipes were wasted.I did get a light cover for you.Send me your address through PM and I'll mail it to you next Monday or Tuesday.

don't need the dew wipes, i need the body seal and the window run channel weatherstrip (you know, the weatherstripping on the sides of the windows as they go up)......  hope you didn't misunderstand me and pass one by.........  here's what i'm talking about......  i need both sides (the window pinched it on the top so it leaks)

p.s. no need to waste money sending the cover by itself.... i can wait til you find other stuff to send with it :)
