Oil dipstick holder.... Reply #18 – January 23, 2009, 05:47:03 PM Would not having any dipstick holder at all make the engine lose compression? Quote Selected
Oil dipstick holder.... Reply #19 – January 23, 2009, 07:01:17 PM It probably wouldn't lose compression, but you'd have a hell of an oil leak.I've got a spare one on that engine that disappointed me so much. You can have it for the cost of shipping, which would probably be about $12 from Canada to you. Quote Selected

Oil dipstick holder.... Reply #21 – January 23, 2009, 07:52:50 PM Yeah the autohole dipstick is a joke. I had to sand it and get all the chrome off before it would fit in there. And then it wasn't the right length and I think Claude fixed it up so it could be used. Quote Selected
Oil dipstick holder.... Reply #22 – January 23, 2009, 08:41:50 PM yea, my problem was i was trying to put a front-mounted dipstick on the side, once i got the right one it was still kind of a pain in the ass cuz i didnt remember exactly what angle/side of the header it went in. i know realize it has to go EXACTLY the way it came out. Never thought it would be that frustrating. Quote Selected
