Different part/molding/shape altogether.....

Good luck finding a NOS 87-88 Cougar light.....I bought one in March of 2008 for the tune of $277 -- BTW this one was the whole assembly.  I was unable to locate just a lens assembly....

correct #'s  are  E7SZ-13007-A & E7SZ-13007-B

you may find bowenscarf is a few  bucks cheaper too

Yup, you're right.

Swapping the 8 for the 7 in both numbers actually gives the part number for the entire assembly complete with the bucket and adjusters.....Sorry.

Interestingly enough.....both sites currently list it as in stock for less than what I payed.

When I bought, newfordparts had it listed for around $160 IIRC, but they said it was basically unobtanium....The one I got had been sitting on a dealership shelf in Texas from what I understand.

i have a thunderbird. Im waiting til tax time to get new lights, i was just wondering if anyone knew anything that could help til then.

Use some rubbing compound, will likely need 4-5 applications if they are really bad... When the haze is removed, follow up with with some polishing compound and finally a good waxing...

This should help significantly, but they'll never be like new again...

BTW if they are waxed every couple of months, new ones will likely last forever... This assumes they never get moisture in them, which I have a fix for that as well...

Just noticed that Green Sales Company shows them as having 10 of the E8OY-13008-B in stock, didn't list a price that I saw though.

http://www.greensalescompany.com
Search for the part number as: E8OY13008B
1985 T'Bird 5.0
1987 Cougar 3.8
1992 T'bird Sport 5.0 HO

I got mine from some place called thunderbirdranch I found online.  But, like turbocoupe50 said it may save you some money to try the rubbing compound/polishing compound/waxing thing 1st.  It should do the trick unless you have moisture inside the light itself.

Zero balance for the other side though...

Twas a left I purchased last March.  Seems they're still scarce.

Oh and just to save some more cash:

If you have examined the assembly, and noticed that the adjuster screws need replacement, here are the part numbers for those pieces:

(2 for each headlamp)#E7SZ-13032-C ($5.44 ea.)
(1 for each headlamp)#E7SZ-13032-D ($5.41 ea.)

There is no need to buy the whole headlamp assembly since it will end up being far more expensive than purchasing the needed parts separately.
