4.6 Oil Pan 1997 XR7 January 13, 2009, 05:53:34 PM I am trying to remove my oil pan and am stuck. I've disconnected everything discussed in the Helms and Haynes manuals and can't seem to lift the engin high enough to get the pan past the bellhousing. The rear wheels are on the ground still. Q: If I lift the back to take weight off the rear suspension, will I change the geometry between the engine/trans and the crossmember so as to give me enough room to get the pan out. It's driving me crazy.Dennis Quote Selected
