So here I am........T-lapse video added 9/11/08

In Cape Cod, after 8 hrs. of driving. Roll into town, and what do you think is the first sight I saw. You guessed it.

Anyone looking for a Cougar in the Boston area?

Of course there are the boring vacation pics

This is what it looked like before Hanna came through at about 6:30 pm

This is what it looked like after Hanna. I didn't see it, but I heard it during the night. It takes a lot of wind to knock one of these over. I needed help to pick it up.

here's the view out the back door sunday morning after the storm.

another view at 1  later the same day

And here I am with my vacation gear

I got everything I need.. My wife, a beach, a beer, and a Cougar down the road. Everything a man needs in life.
Oh yea I almost forgot... and wireless internet on a private beach. Life is gonna suck for the next week. :D

We got hit by Hannah last night and today. Not much wind (maybe a gust or two to 35MPH) but lots of rain. My electronic rain gauge is saying 6", and my impromptu rain gauge (a wheelbarrow) is full to overflowing. 6" of rain wouldn't normally have been too bad, but we've had the wettest August on record, and the rivers were already full from a big storm earlier in the week. This adds up to the river bordering my property jumping its banks for the third time this year, and according to the old guy across the road, the first time in September that he can ever remember. So for a few days a year I have lakefront property :hick:

I just had my bullmastiff puppy down playing in the water. My property is laid out so that the house is well up from the river, but down on the river bank there is a flood plain of about 50 feet wide. It is almost perfectly level down there, so when the river tops its banks the whole area is flooded, but since it's well off the main river there is no current (except the big flood last spring, when there was quite a strong current; it washed one of my mountain ash trees away as well as a sizeable chunk of river bank). The dog absolutely loved it, and soaked me through with his splashing around. I think he thinks he's a lab.

My era as well.Don't go near the water.Jaws kept me out of large bodies of water when I was a kid.

As far as the Cougar in the pics,I only want the steering wheel.Grab a wrench and "acquire" it for me.

Jerry, just buy the car and have the wife drive it home. I'm sure she would be fine with that....

LOL, If it didn't have that ugly satiny looking roof, I would clean it up and could probably double my money in Buffalo.

And Sheila would never go for that car over hers. There isn't enough of anything in the universe that could convince her to do that
