The time has come... Getting a new car.

Yeah, it was a fun truck.  About 200hp, T5 swap and all.  3rd gear spooled drive-bys were fun.  Folks had no idea what was going on. It just drove like a truck... :p

did the bird seats bolt right in!
I plan on doing my ROH wheels, a boost valve, custom 3 inch exhaust, and maybe a custom header, and IC set up to not have to mod the heater.
I just hope the truck is nice, or I find one as nice as yours that thing is SWEET!

Shes black on black, fully loaded, with headers, 180 tstat, e fan, straight exhaust into a cherry bomb vortex ler, full tune up, ported intake and T/B, MSD coil, and round aircleaner.
Mods to come: Fully rebuilt and heavily modded 46RE, and a richmond rachet locker.

No the seats didn't just bolt in.  Well the seats did...the seat belts did not.  The truck had a split bench and weirdness for the sliders, etc due to the access to the cab.  A std cab might be different.

You won't need a "custom" header unless you want to keep AC (if the truck has it), and even at that, you can get ones to work.  I had a 3" on mine as well, built it from scratch.  Intercooled and about 16# boost.

Like this?
or maybe like this?

or maybe this one?

the grey truck was my first turbo ranger....i think i have a pic of the engine bay at home...ill add it tonight if i find it.
the black truck was my second turboranger.
if all goes well i will be starting on my third sometime soon. parts gathering is in progress...

as far as using an 84 goes, i would find a merkur harness to run the 2.3T. they are simple to work with, and there is no chassis wiring mixed into the EEC harness. toss in the the later EFI tank and lines, wire up the pump, and youd be all set.

the link to RPS is a good one. you will need to dig for basic info over there. there is only one guy i know over there started with a carb truck(83), and he is an OG so his info is buried. the older guys over there know their stuff, but dont tend to help n00bs out until they show that they can help themselves some too. careful what you read over there....there are some young guys who spout from the wrong orifice

also turboford.net, and rangersrevenge.com are both  places to data mine for swap info.

I am still looking for a good truck
just got a emal form a guy with one, a 90, 2.3, 5 speed, and thats about all i know, other then it needs a filler hose.
500 bucks so I have to call and ask about it. I refuse to buy a rot box, but it would be nice to start with a EFI truck to bypass most the electrical , and parts hunting

Just got a email
the 84 is sold....

Im down at my dads looking for cars.
He said he knows were theres a bird with a rebuilt motor, and new turbo.(88 turbo coupe) He says the guy wants 500 for it. Im thinking if I bribe my mom by telling her ill part out the lincoln and get rid of all my other junk maybe she will pay for it. You guys think it would be a good idea to get it if its a solid car? Use the lincoln to do a 5 lug swap on it so I can use all my brand new brakes and new wheels.
IDK I love the mark, but I need a car before the end of the month for school and work. I cant keep using my brothers car, and other people for rides. I need opinions here.... If its a ncie car should I jump on it and wait and find a nicer lincoln?

yea more then likely, only cause I have a bit of a lead foot
16-18 city going easy on it, and 24-28 highway will be nice
and still have the balls to get out of its own way
mileage should get better too once it gets the gt40 intake and heads.
