Yeah, I'm doing little things here and there while I am supposed to be working.  :)

No rush now, we got hit with snow over the last couple days so I DO NOT want it moving out the shop anytime soon!

No update for a few days. My cell phone decided to take a dive into a puddle yesterday and it's going to take a couple days for T-Mobile to send me a new one (it's on backorder), so I have no camera at work to take and post pics.  :(

That's beautiful. I think it would be nice to get some paint thinner or whatever and bring the Cougar on the grille out where it can bee seen. It would tie into the chrome Cougars on the tail lights. I am really loving that color. You never see it. That makes me want to paint mine a color that's different from everybody else's........hey wait....LOL.

I totally agree on the front emblem. It would tie in with the kitties in the taillights, too just like V says. The matte black/ chrome theme works well on this color.

I was thinking of doing that to the emblem, but the all black looks a lot better in person than it comes through in pics. I do need to paint the trans cooler though. The silver stands out too much with the blacked out grill. I also have a super secret idea to enhance the cougar emblem... but that will take some fab work after I get it home and in the Batcave.

I picked up a cold air kit from AmericanMuscle.com. It's not a BBK or anything special, just an SR Performance kit that is on sale for $49.99

http://www.americanmuscle.com/50liairinkit.html

It came with a py little motorcycle sized filter shown on the left in the pic below. I went to Pep Boys and picked up a big ass K&N (on the right). The best part about getting it at Pep Boys... list was $52.99 and it was on sale for $47.99 and I had $60.00 in rewards bucks so it cost no cash out of pocket!

Install was really easy. Take out the old set up, air box and all (also remove the bolts with bumpers on them that hold the top of the airbox on an angle. Jack the front of the car up, take a few screws out of the wheel well liner to make it easy to wiggle the filter in. Bolt the chrome plate in place and set the first tube through it and into the filter. Lube the rubber couplings, put all the clamps and tubes in place but don't tighten. Wiggle and adjust until everything sits nicely then tighten all the clamps. It did come with a chrome bracket for the mass air, but I did not use it. The new bracket mounts on the frame below the mass air instead of on the strut tower like the stock one. I may put it in later, but for now it seems fine without it, and most people I talked to didn't use it anyway.

So here it is, looking cool, and it does change the sound of the car.

Now, even better. So far total cost for the CAI & filter is $50. I found someone that wants to buy my stock set up for $40, and my used K&N panel filter for $20. So, putting in a CAI netted me a $10 profit!
