1985 Tc 4/s

1985 Ford Thunderbird TC (turbo coupe)
2.3L 4cyl turbo
5-speed
just turned 146,000 miles
Red exterior
Black/Red interior

$1100 Firm. Have $800 into the exhaust

Well, unfortunately I have to part ways with my beloved '85 T-bird. My g/f doesn't know how to drive stick and I wasn't about to teach her. The car runs good, shifts nice and is GREAT on gas (23-26mpg yes, I granny the car. Barely get it over 65mph LOL)

The photos I have of the car are pretty recent, except for a few. Of the older photos, I no longer have the weld racing wheels, rear spoiler or the side skirts. Other than that, the car is how it is right now.

Why did I primer spots of the car? Well, I had high hopes of eventually repainting the car and wanted to ensure that the spots I saw on the car (most of which are just minor scratches) didn't rust! The car also at one time also had a rear spoiler, but it was in such bad shape that I actually removed it and just put the bolts that were holding it on back on the trunk lid to prevent water from leaking inside the holes.

Modifications:
Stinger performance Mustang or Turbo Coupe 2.3 Turbo 3" Dual Exhaust, 2.5in Hooker AeroChamber lers, 3in hi-flow cat and 2.5in Mustang tailpipes that dump before the rear bumper. Pictures of the downpipe to where the lers clamp are below (from Stinger performance's website)

15% tinted windows all the way around
Python car alarm with keyless entry (I think the door lock actuators are bad, so the keyless part doesn't work)
'05 Mustang shifter
Door and dash Infinity Reference speakers
3in cowl fiberglass hood with hood pins (I have new locking hood pins that come with the car, but weren't installed yet)
Autometer Boost gauge (mounted where the clock originally was. previous owner must of forgot/didn't hook-up the gauge light, and I haven't had a chance to do it yet either)

Other work that was done/has:
Oil changed (doing it 1/10/08)
new front brakes (doing it 1/10/08)
2 front tires (doing it 1/10/08)
Neutral backup switch
Reverse light bulbs
1 year old (approx.): plug wires, spark plugs, pcv valve, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter, front-end rotors
New headliner, carpet, rear-deck carpet

Car needs/might need soon:
rear springs (have, but not installed)
rear shocks (have, but not installed)

The car also comes with the following:
GTS front headlight covers (smoke)
chrome headlight bezels
stock replacement rear springs
rear monroe gas shocks
clutch kit with a throw-out bearing
upper intake [received from previous owner...someone tried to port it]
left control arm
distributor
and a few more exterior parts/trim

Any serious rust issues? Interior in good shape? Any other major work been done to the car? Any accidents that you know of? Email any other pics you may have to scbirds4us@yahoo.com. Thanks.

1wildbird,
According to mapquest, from my zip code to Dunnville, Ontario is

Total Est. Time:  7 hours, 55 minutes

Total Est. Distance: 470.84 miles

Birds4us:
It has the normal rust that t-birds get...bottom of the doors and 1 small spot on the drivers side fender...I'll get pics Saturday when I go to my parents house for dinner, which is where the car is.

As far as the interior, it's in good shape, but does need a few parts here and there.  When I bought the car, the previous owner was in the process of turning the interior of the car to black, while it originally was red.  So, everything he painted was replaced in the car.  The car also had white buckets from an older GT mustang which were in great condition but looked terrible with a red back seat and black/red interior so I sold those and replaced them with front buckets from a standard '86 t-bird which had 1 powered seat and 1 manual seat.  Currently, the wiring harness from the t-bird I snagged the seat from is in the car, but not wired up.  I'll get current pictures of the car Saturday, like I said and will have interior shots also.

I also lowered the price to $1100, but that's firm as I have $800 alone into the exhaust.

Check the photobucket link I have posted in my first post.  There's a bunch of new photos.

Niagra Falls, NY is like a 6 hour drive for me-no thanks.

too bad it runs, I would take it off your hands but I wouldn't use the motor or tranny or the exhaust.
