Started to figure out where everything bolts back on today. This is really tough seeing that when I took everything off, it was covered in a thick layer of gunk. Nothing really looks the same as when it came off. lol

I'm liking this color combo so far

I ordered my Good Year belt from eBay and got for almost $20.00 cheaper than the parts store. If the parts stores around here could get Good Year belts......which they can't. The Gator Back belts don't tend to get cracks in them like others do due to their "tread design". Your dash piece is going out tomorrow.

Did some remodeling yesterday.


tried to get the mig into all the spots and make a nice weld, but it was almost impossible with the other tubes in the way. did the best I could. I'll have to do a little more cleaning up before I'm finished. But now there's a ton of room for the plugs.


put a silver coat on the covers. they started turning dark already. also have more painting plans for them.

The valve covers look great. Is ther room for the new header tube to fit next to the inner fender?

I never really looked at the distance between my headers and the inner fenders.They fit,so,I was happy. If it's too tight of a fit,just cut a hole in the inner fender for clearance.LOL.

By the way,I was looking at the wood grain dash panel.It looks to be in nice shape (a little dirty),but there are two tiny holes drilled into the base of it.I think,from what I can tell,the shifter panel will cover it.Just to let you know.

got another cover for around the shifter. this one seems to be painted.

still have to remove the column shift, and a bunch of work before I can finish putting it together
Guess I need another plate for the bottom space of the dash.
I guess I need to blank out the gear selector on the old cluster. I feel like I'm working in reverse on this car. lol
