How would the Cobra cam cmpare to the E303 (I ask because I have an E303)? I'm still waiting to install my E303 in my car. That should help over the H.O cam I'm using now, along with the roller rockers,Mass Air and exhaust, the car should scream.......I hope.

and all I have to do to swap that is swap over a few injector clips and I'll be good to go?

Swap the cam and computer. The HO computer takes car of the fireing order change. You DO NOT need to change the wiring at the injectors.

Did the SO also come with 1.6 rockers, or 1.5?  If the latter, then "y" doesn't even begin to describe the SO cam, given the specs V8Demon quoted!

All 5.0 engines have 1.6 except for the Cobras...

The SO cam can be best described as a POS....

Yeah I'd change the MAP sensor to a HO one. I had funky idle problems with my SO sensor that cleared up when I put a HO one in. Actually I used a Mustang BAP sensor but it's the same thing ;)

Well, I wouldn't say that . . I'd say it served the purpose for which it was designed - maybe not in the best way imagineable, but still...

Gotta remember too, when the 5.0SO SEFI came out, it was putting out power numbers that one would typically expect of a 2-bbl 351 in the 1970s, which isn't anything to sneeze at given the era.

The SO cam was primarily profiled for torque output at low sub 2000 RPM and not peak horsepower, at the same time keeping gas consumption at a level heavily concentrated on during the CAFE 80's. Thus why it was used for the Crown Vic with E6 heads (another torque before HP design), and also the F150 with E7 like heads and one large air hungry intake system. It also copied the profile and firing order of the non roller 302 cam used before the intro of the non roller HO 302. It served its purpose well for a big bore short stroke block. That said...HO RULES!!!
