I just bought that same dech for the cougar. the DEH 4900.  cheap, but decent for the price.  I have the same gauge I got off Dominator, a few months ago, cant be bothered to install it.

Heres a picture of the gauges and the color changing remote was only $5 they used to be about $50 before they stop making them 1 or 2 months ago. that you can also dim the gauges if you want.

Both A-pillers are painted black now and the 4900 is very nice for the price but i wanted the 5900 for the display but that would be a waste just for a display and make it look nicer to steal.

Those gauges are about as accurate as throwing a cat at a barn. But hey, they look good.

I seriously LOL'd at that :hick:

Try throwing my cats. The gray one would take your arm with him, the striped one is too fat to pick up, and the foster cat would land in Iowa. SO 0/3 on my cats :D

Should someone out there have a job protecting cats form being tossed for distance? Hope you don't miss and hit the cats on the metal barn.

Have you tested their accuracy?  How do you know they aren't accurate?  thats like somebody said sunpro isnt a good brand....  Check the package and look at who made them for sunpro, and Faze.

They are actually a decent brand.  I used sunpro gauges in my blue cougar and checked there accuracy at my dad's shop, with the shops gauges and they are accurate.  So unless you have data backing up the claim, dont state that they are inaccurate, just because you dont like them.

Actually there's quite a bit of data on those particular models, hence why they are out of production.

I actually quite like cheap off-brand gauges, I think paying $100 each for gauges is wrong when it's fairly easy to get pretty accurate.

Again, it's not the brand, but rather those particular models/model line.

I will get some different gauges for my next car and they won't be sunpros and honestly if i get my vortech S-trim in the next few days i really could careless what brand they are when my money could be spent on Boost.
