Portland Meet #2! Reply #46 – August 05, 2007, 03:18:15 AM Tonight was bad, I broke it :( Starter is fragged (no big deal, I have 3 spares) but so is the clutch. It's hanging up on itself big time! RAM is going to get a SERIOUS talking to! Stupid clutch has 8000 miles and 20 passes and it's shot in a 14 second car. Tomorrow I have to change the starter so I can get to school on Monday. I have to check the SC50 too, it made some weird noises, though that could have been the clutch. That stupid clutch better hold it together for another 10 days until summer break.Ted's fuel pump hiccuped and intimidator's alternator destroyed his battery, again. I had to abandon everybody (and the door panels) just to make it home! Quote Selected
Portland Meet #2! Reply #47 – August 05, 2007, 12:08:05 PM Fuel pump is not really the problem, apparently the rear sump pick-up I put in is going dry while braking at the end of the track, making a bubble and running dry. This was the last two runs at the end of the day. The fuel system is not perfect yet.Did not make it in the 12's last night but I did have a bunch of low 13 passes.I had a lot of fun racing and meeting everyone; thanks Mike for putting this on.TED Quote Selected

Portland Meet #2! Reply #52 – August 07, 2007, 06:25:03 AM well...... looks like i did more damage than just a battery lol...... when i got to work today it was dumping transmission fluid out of the bellhousing. How ever the best pass came with a R/T -.055 (yeah yeah yeah only red light i had and it was my FIRST time drag racing) 2.718 60' 18.996 @ 72.39 mph altho my best r/t was .011 for my 2nd pass... that best time came from 5th pass and was backed up with a 19.007 run for the last pass of the night. I do want to thank mike, ted, and seek (keep forgetting ur name) for helping out and it was fun being able to hang out hope i can get time off to do it again. Eric Quote Selected

Portland Meet #2! Reply #58 – August 08, 2007, 10:04:26 PM Quote from: Aerobird Motorsports;166786Matt,Build your new engine!!!!Depending on scheduling, I may be able to get a 90k engine with all the mass air parts for $550, it'd hold me over until I have the downtime to run a newly built motor. I figure a spare block would be $100, mass air sensor, ecu, tubing could be anywhere from $100-150. $300 for the rest of the running parts isn't too bad, depending on compression numbers.
